Hope Floats in Colorado Springs: A Community Coming Together to Save Lives
/The second week of September brought something truly beautiful to Colorado Springs. Local businesses, friends, and families came together with one mission in mind: to raise money for the Hope Floats Foundation. What unfolded was more than just a fundraiser; it was a reminder of the power of community, compassion, and shared purpose.
From the moment the doors opened, you could feel the energy. Tables were filled with delicious food, laughter echoed between friends old and new, and every conversation carried a spirit of hope. What made the night so special wasn’t just the fun; it was the heart behind it all.
The Hope Floats Foundation offers swim scholarships to children in need, ensuring that every child, regardless of their financial circumstances, has the opportunity to learn water safety and survival swimming skills. And as we know, swimming lessons don’t just build confidence, they save lives.
The support from our community was overwhelming. The Little Fins Staff collected donations, found sponsors, and gathered baskets for the Silent Auction. Local businesses offered items for the auction, and community members gave generously. Together, every plate shared, every ticket purchased, and every donation made a direct impact on children and families right here in our city.
The amazing armstrong family
When a community rallies together, big things happen. And here in Colorado Springs, we’re not just raising money, we’re raising up the next generation to be safer, stronger, and more confident in the water.
As we celebrate this incredible night, we’re filled with gratitude for the hands and hearts who made it possible. We raised $15,603.74. Thank you, Colorado Springs, for proving once again that when we come together, hope really does float.
