Date: January (all month long!)
Location: Little Fins Swim School – Union & Garden of the Gods
Ages: All current swimmers (with instructor coordination)
Get cozy and make a splash!
We’re celebrating Jammie January at Little Fins—where swimmers get to wear their favorite pajamas in the pool for part of their lesson while learning an important water-safety skill.
Swimming in clothes helps children understand how water feels when clothing becomes heavy and builds real-world swim safety awareness—all while having FUN!
What to Expect:
Wear your favorite PJs for part of your lesson
Learn how clothing affects movement in water
A safe, instructor-guided experience
Tons of smiles and giggles
What to Bring:
• Pajamas you don’t mind getting wet
• An extra bag for wet jammies
• Regular swimsuit underneath (recommended)
Swim diapers are still required for any swimmer not potty trained.
How to Participate:
Talk with your instructor to choose a lesson time during January to do Jammie January as part of your regularly scheduled lesson.
This is not a separate class—just a fun, festive twist on your swim lesson!
Why We Do It:
Clothing can add 2–3x more weight in water, and practicing this skill helps build confidence and survival awareness—one of the many ways Little Fins puts water safety first.
