After just a handful of lessons from Miss Rockelle, I have seen a huge difference in my three year old son’s swimming skills. He is no longer afraid to get into a pool of water and can now have fun while swimming. He even looks forward to it. He has learned basic water survival skills and can get himself to the edge and out of a pool. He is now learning swim strokes.

Miss Rockelle is a caring and thorough teacher who can handle any child’s temperament. A crying anxiety ridden child does not make Rockelle nervous. She stays calm and is able to guide that child through a valuable lesson and helps him work through his fears.

I have never seen a teacher make swimming lessons such a fun and positive experience for everyone, including the parents and the student’s siblings. The atmosphere is so inviting. For the student she has “monkey island” as a swim target. And she has all kinds swimming aids and motivators. For the parents she has a nice viewing area where you can relax and watch the lesson. For siblings (and for the swimmer waiting for a lesson) she has a playfully decorated area with a large TV playing kids’ favorite movies, puzzles, blocks, and an area to hang out where only kids can fit.

Rockelle also offers little amenities that make a big difference. If you forget a towel, or goggles, she has you covered. There is a shower stocked with soaps and shampoos, plus a hair dryer so your child doesn’t have to go outside on a cold day with wet hair.

Rockelle takes the time to explain techniques and philosophies, and will answer any questions. She is so happy to see the kids excel. She has their pictures on a wall which my son loves to see, and she celebrates new levels of achievement in very special ways.

As a bonus, these private lessons are truly private. There is nobody in the pool but teacher and student.

It is a joy to be part of her swim school and it has been such a positive experience for our whole family. Trevor has so much fun during his lessons that he doesn’t realize how much he is learning.

If you are interested in teaching with fast results, Rockell Ridgway is top notch! Rockell has a very balanced approach of skill building while being very comapassionate to each child's specific needs. Both of my children have built great confidence in the water and truly enjoy swimming. Water safety is not something to find the cheapest price. Quality instruction is what matters and

Karina would NOT go under water and was even refusing swim lessons in the past. Ms. Rockell knows exactly what to do and how to keep the children from giving up. Karina allowed hersel to go well beyond her comfort zone as I had never seen or expected. Rockell is helping to build her confidence and easing her fears.

The warm water lets them focus on swimming instead of being cold. Our daughters are learning how to save themselves should they ever fall in. We love how Ms. Rockell is so good to each of our daughters! Thank you.

Our experience with Little Fins has been wonderful! When I first heard about Little Fins I was hesitant about the cost of private lessons, but it has been worth it! Before starting with Little Fins, Max had minimal swimming ability (essentually hanging on to the side of the pool). After 13 lessons he is able to float on his back, go all the way under and retrieve rings from the bottom of the pool, and streamline. We were so pleased with his progress that we decided to continue with lessons. After just two more lessons he is able to swim the short length of the pool on his own! It has been amazing to watch him improve week after week and become more confident at each lesson. The Little Fins Swim School is very kid friendly and accomodating for kids of all ages. I have an 18 month old and he just plays in the play room while I wach Max swim. Ms. Rockell has been terrific with Max and he responds well to her. Each lesson is a struggle for him emotionally, but Ms. Rockell takes him right in and expects him to do what is asked of him. This is just the kind of one-on-one instrucion Max needs and he is improving with each lesson. I would recommend friends and anyone else who wants effective, quality, experienced, and compassionate swim instrucion for their kids. Thank you Ms. Rockell!
